GOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS & LAND USE ISSUES

Our firm offers an extensive liaison service with local governments statewide as well as with the Florida Legislature. For more than 45 years, the members of our firm have dealt with a wide range of land use issues and sale of land to the state; zoning matters; Florida Cabinet issues; the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund; and the Department of Environmental Protection and the Department of Community Affairs. With attorneys who are registered lobbyists in both the State and Federal government, Jacobs, Scholz & Wyler, LLC remains extensively involved in local and national regulatory and litigation interface. Our firm represents clients, both domestic and international, interacting with CMS, FDA, OMB, U.S. Military branches, U.S. Veterans Administration, and Tricare. Our attorneys are actively involved in the Board of Directors of several organizations including, but not limited to, Pharmaceutical Printed Literature Association (PPLA) in Washington, D. C. and South Amelia Island Shore Stabilization Association (SAISSA), a Municipal Service Benefit Unit that works with State and Federal governments in the preservation and maintenance of the beach/dune system. As part of our continuous efforts to preserve Amelia Island’s natural environment, our firm works with State and Federal government entities and local and national organizations, such as the Department of the Navy and the Army Corps of Engineers, in appropriations and regulations.
